NEW DIRECTOR FOR AGENCIA

Agencia Consulting is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Gibson as a Director and Joint Managing Director-designate of the company.   Agencia  has secured its long term future by the move, in which Helen (33) will join her father Andrew (59), the founder of Agencia, in leading the company from August 2012.  Andrew expects Helen’s appointment to allow him to gradually reduce his time commitment to Agencia, as Helen takes a greater role in the company’s leadership.  

Helen  was appointed by Agencia in 2009, following previous posts with PA Consulting and the Cabinet Office.  Shehas local credentials, growing up in Cottingham, and attending Beverley High School.  She is a graduate of the University of Durham, and also holds an MBA from the University of Hull, where she gained a distinction.

Speaking about her appointment, Helen said:

“It’s great to be able to support my Dad and Agencia as a whole in taking the company forward.  Agencia is an excellent place to work, with very skilled and experienced colleagues who all work hard to ensure our clients in the public sector are able to improve services for the people they serve, and to enable their staff to manage and deliver change.   I am looking forward to working alongside Andrew in managing the Company, as well as developing the business even further.  As our new Strategic Plan for 2011 – 14 says, we aim to be here for the long term, broadening our client base and extending the range of services we offer.  I am very excited to be playing a part in that future.”  

Andrew Gibson, who founded Agencia in 1997 (then trading as Andrew Gibson Consulting) said:

“I’m delighted that Helen has accepted the role of Director and Joint Managing Director-designate.  It’s obviously a double pleasure for me to not only be able to plan my own future commitments, but to welcome a member of the family as my ultimate successor.  Helen has a great reputation as a skilled consultant, and I am very confident that over the next few years we will be able to work together to develop her leadership skills even further, ready for an eventual transition to her being the sole MD.  My own commitment to the company will not reduce, as I hope to take on a Non-Executive Chairman role in Agencia at that point.    Our clients can be assured that Agencia will continue to provide the high quality, responsive services on which it has built its reputation over the last fourteen years.”
