Independence Well-being and Choice – The Gloucestershire Vision
AGC has recently completed a major stakeholder event arising from the Government green paper ”Independence, Well-being and Choice”. Designed and facilitated by Ian Hargreaves and Andrew Gibson, the conference considered the vision and future direction for social and health care for adults in Gloucestershire.
Attracting over 100 local participants, the event began with presentations from senior officers from statutory and voluntary agencies. These were complemented by workshops and presentations from voluntary and independent sector participants. These explored the maintenance of the independence, dignity and quality of life of vulnerable adults in a variety of innovative ways. Leadership and financial aspects of developing effective partnerships to deliver the vision were also considered.
