Agencia Wins Wigan Dementia Contract

Commenting on Agencia’s successful appointment, Agencia’s Director, Helen Gibson said “We are delighted to have been appointed to support Wigan Council with their dementia demonstrator project.  Agencia has extensive experience of advising and supporting organisations in remodelling and improving services for people with dementia in response to demographic pressures, and it is one of our areas of recognised expertise.”
The project will focus on improving the data intelligence systems that support the quality risk assessments and pilot interventions to improve the quality of dementia care in different settings throughout the Wigan area.
The first strand of the National Dementia Strategy was launched in February 2009 with its main themes to raise awareness, early assessment and diagnosis and improving the quality of care for people with dementia.
