Agencia Tackles Zip Wire Challenge for Dementia UK

Four of Agencia’s team members; Graham Barnett, Helen Gibson, Steve Jacobs and Victoria Austin along with Victoria’s son Leon, are soon to take to the skies for the Zip Wire Challenge.  This will involve zipping across the waters of the Manchester Shipyard (a distance of 250m), with the aim of landing gracefully in front of the Lowry, located at the Imperial War Museum.

One of the biggest issues in today’s society is the fact that we are all living longer.  Agencia has been heavily involved in helping social care and health organisations identify how services need to change to take account of the rising numbers of older people.  Not only are there more people living longer, but their needs and aspirations are also different from previous generations, with a far greater emphasis on independence and self-directed care.

Speaking about the event, Victoria Austin (Agencia’s Business Development Manager) said:
