Agencia staff “LEANing over” to help clients improve delivery performance

LEAN offers a technique for identifying and responding to weaknesses and bottlenecks in delivery and production systems and processes.  It can help organisation make significant savings in production and delivery costs by removing the blockages and streamlining procedures.
Working with an independent colleague, Hayley Wynne, who has also been accredited, Steve and Tom were commissioned by the Humberside Criminal Justice Board (HCJB) to develop LEAN approaches to the delivery of justice services in the area.  They were able to use this project as part of their training and development in LEAN techniques.

Speaking about their success, Steve Pitts said:
“This was a perfect example of what the Agencia Team can do, working closely as it does with its clients.  Because of the training angle, we agreed to do the work for HCJB on a pro bono basis, and so there was a real “win-win”, with our client being able to identify some significant opportunities for improvement, and Hayley, Tom and I bringing significant new skills to the Agencia portfolio.  We are really looking forward to using these skills for other clients in the near future.”

Agencia works with a variety of agencies and industries, predominantly in the public sector, to support change and development for people and systems. The company, based in Hessle, has been in operation for nearly fifteen years, and has worked with several justice agencies in the area, including the Crown Prosecution Service, Her Majesty’s Courts service, Humberside Police, the Youth Justice Service and the Humberside Probation Trust.  Other local clients have included Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, NHS Hull, NHS East Riding of Yorkshire, and the Humber NHS Foundation Trust.
