Sir Ronald De Witt , Principal Consultant

Sir Ron is a highly skilled Chairman / Chief Executive with extensive experience gained in a wide range of settings in public sector management at local, regional and national level.

He has undertaken a succession of significant and high profile roles in both the health and justice fields, and was created Knight Bachelor in 2002 for “Services to Nursing and the National Health Service”

Sir Ron’s extensive and distinguished career in international health and social care culminated in his appointment as Chief Executive for a major London Strategic Health Authority.  He was subsequently appointed as Chairman and Chief Executive of Her Majesty’s Courts Service for England and Wales (HMCS).  In this latter role, he oversaw the merger of 43 independent justice organisations into a single national body managing all Courts below the House of Lords.  Sir Ron spent a significant part of his time at HMCS working with Government Ministers and the senior judiciary on the development of the strategic role and purpose of the new organisation.

Sir Ron brings to the Agencia team an extensive knowledge and expertise in strategic planning and leadership, overseeing the development and modernisation of large and complex organisations with significant human resources.  He has particular interests in governance, problem solving and change management, coupled with a breadth of experience in the comparison of international systems of management in health and justice fields, including Eastern Europe.
