macedonia-1-cropAgencia was delighted to be involved in hosting a study visit in Wales for Macedonian delegates, as part of its EU Probation project.

The Macedonian delegation included 11 members of the Judiciary, the State Prosecution Service, and the Ministry of Justice, along with two of the project key experts, a representative of the National Offender Management Service, and two interpreters.

The visit covered various aspects of how the probation service in Wales works, from Integrated Offender Management; Community Payback; preparation for release from custody, and probation training, as well as seeing Magistrates and Crown Courts in action, and hearing about the work of the Crown Prosecution Service.

Agencia’s lead for the project, Andy Stelman, said: “All in all it was a very successful study visit which gave participants much food for thought about how things could develop over time in the Republic of Macedonia”. Read more…

We are increcovery-winnersredibly pleased to announce that out of 22 teams, our Active Recovery Team from North Lincolnshire, came third in this year’s Recovery Games, remaining in the top three after our first place triumph last year.  The Active Recovery Team demonstrated great athleticism, determination and the ability to have a good laugh on the way to a famous result.

The Recovery Games is organised by Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) and is held to celebrate individuals’ recovery from drug and alcohol misuse. Teams, made up of service users, workers, friends and family, are invited from across the region to take part in a day of fun events with a sporting theme.
